Established in 1895, The Fitzroy Motor Boat Club still works in accordance with its original mission - to encourage its members to enjoy the company of others who are interested in boating. 

​

The Club is backed by a committed team of volunteers who share a common bond of boating.  Members enjoy social events, share information and pass on their expertise. 

​

There are also two operating slips, giving the Club excellent facilities for repairing and maintaining boats. 

​

The Club is a licensed venue and is available for hire to members and the public for celebrations such as weddings, engagements, funerals as well as training and other meetings.

​

The rear deck of the Club house overlooks the picturesque Fitzroy River and although the building is unobstrusive, the venue is a hidden treasure and one of the best kept secrets in Rockhampton.
